CarriersEdge Announces Dates for 2011 Best Fleets to Drive For Seminar Series
Cross-country series showcases best practices of 2011 winners
Markham, ON - April 13, 2011 - CarriersEdge, the leading provider of online driver improvement programs, today announced dates for the 2011 Best Fleets to Drive For Seminar Series. The series of half-day seminars in cities across Canada will provide tips and tricks from the U.S. and Canadian fleets identified as this year's Best Fleets to Drive For.
Best Fleets to Drive For is an annual survey and contest conducted by the Truckload Carriers Association and CarriersEdge. It identifies the North American for-hire trucking companies that provide the best workplace experiences for company drivers and owner-operators. Nominated fleets are evaluated on the range and depth of programs being offered, the overall effectiveness of those programs across key metrics, and the responses of surveyed drivers. Fleets with the best overall scores are named Best Fleets to Drive For.
The Best Fleets to Drive For Seminar Series presents data collected during that process, exploring the innovative programs that help winning fleets hire more effectively, improve safety and operational efficiency, reduce turnover, and help drivers maintain work/life balance.
"This year, Best Fleets to Drive For saw a huge increase in the number of participating fleets, and the overall quality of programs being offered by those fleets", said Mark Murrell, President of CarriersEdge. "Novel approaches to compensation and benefits, along with emerging trends in social media and environmental initiatives, showed us that the industry is emerging from the recession with renewed energy and creativity."
The 2011 Best Fleets to Drive For Seminar Series is presented by Marsh Canada Limited, the Canadian operation of Marsh Inc., the world's leading insurance broker and risk advisor. Designated Marsh Canada offices will once again host the seminar series.
Sponsors for this year's program include Kee Human Resources, the only national staffing company focused on the trucking industry, and Transportation Media, the leading information provider for Canada's transportation industry.
