This was seen most clearly in the area of driver workflow. The trend towards custom driver mobile apps continued, encompassing features such as communications, load planning, payroll/settlements, and document scanning.
Halvor Lines, a nine-consecutive year Best Fleet, provides an example of this. Their development and adoption of Electronic Bill of Lading (eBOL) technology, initially to reduce the need for drivers to have physical contact, proved to be popular among drivers and effective.
